Q&A: Can I have vision correction surgery after 50 years ago?
Nelly, It would be our pleasure to assist you. Great news, you can have LASIK when you are over 40! We assist many patients in their 40s and 50s. Please call us at your earliest convenience. Thanks!
At age 50 there are a few options for you to consider to become at least quite independent of glasses. I would have to see your prescription to advise more and would meed to do a few tests of your eyes to give you a final recommendation. What do you need glasses for right now and what would you like to be able to do without glasses?
The best way to determine whether you are a candidate for vision correction surgery is to come for a complimentary consultation where we can evaluate your options. There are no age cut-offs for vision correction surgery per se but age can affect which options may be most ideal for you. Please call us to set up an evaluation so that we can give you more information about your eyes.
