Dr. Robert Weinstock joined The Eye Institute of West Florida in 2001 after completing his residency at the St. Louis University School of Medicine. Along with thousands of successful cataract and refractive surgeries, Dr. Weinstock also speaks and teaches both nationally and internationally on innovative treatments, procedures, and surgery.
Dr. Weinstock is a well respected and recognized authority in ophthalmology best known for introducing some of ophthalmology's latest cataract procedure and O.R. innovations. Leading accomplishments include: pioneering the micro-incisional cataract surgical procedure where he was the first surgeon in the U.S. to successfully remove a cataract from a wound smaller than 1.5mm; introducing the first 3D heads up display unit in the O.R.; and the ORange(R) wavefront aberrometer by WaveTec Vision Systems that delivers real-time information to best determine lens implant strength and astigmatism correction during surgery.
