The FDA finally approved Xeomin specifically to treat the vertical frown lines which form between the eyebrows. Xeomin works much like Botox, it paralyzes wrinkles by blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles. This product already had been use in a longtime for a medical condition that causes wrinkles in the neck muscles, a condition called cervical dystonia, but Xeomin had yet to be implemented for treating the frown lines.
