Question:
My son got a bad bed sore on the back of his head when he was in the PICU - the result after the thick scab came off was a 2in long & wide scar - bald spot right in the middle of the back of his head. it is very noticible. his skull at that location was affected - it is ridged and indented a little. Is there anyway to transplant hair there or close the space so it is not so noticable?
Answer:
Dear Virginia, Yes, scalp flaps are very reliable and useful in treating this problem. You don't mention how old your son is now but I would suggest that if he is well, consult with a plastic surgeon in your area. The results are excellent and the skull deformities even with time.

Question:
SO THERE IS NOTHING PERMENANT THAT WILL MAKE LIPS FULLER?
Answer:
Dear Niclole, There is a deep layer of your own scalp that can be used for permanent lip augmentation. I only obtain this when performing a brow lift procedure. Fat transfer and all other permanent fillers offer very little permanent enlargement and I would discourage their use.
