Question:
i have huge size breats for a guy and i was wondering what excersises i should try before i consider plastic surgery, and if there is anything else i can try
Answer:
Gynecomastia is enlargement of the male breast. There are a number of causes for this although it is usually idiopathic (unknown cause). You should visit with a medical doctor or endocrinologist to make certain that your hormonal status is normal. If it is, which is usually the case, the best available treatment is ultrasonic liposuction. Although there are no excercies or ways to spot reduce, overall weight loss (if you are overweight) will help. The ultrasonic liposuction is best able to handle the fobrous tissue in the male breast and works much better than regular liposuction in the treatment of this condition.

Question:
I have type 2 diabetes and would like to have liposuction to get rid of my gut and love handles. Would the fat loss also help my diabetes?
Answer:
Probably not. Good luck. Carmen Paradis M.D.

Question:
I am an eighteen year old female who has been researching the costs of liposuction. I've been told from $3,000 and up for liposuction of the inner and outer thighs and the saddle-bag area. Is this an accurate price for the procedure? Is it also possible with this procedure to contour one's butt from a "bubble-butt," as it is referred to, into one that is normal sized. I'm a fairly thin person on top, but pear shaped bottom. I've had the problem of growing up with a bubble-butt and hereditary saddle-bags, with a butt cheek that sags about an inch and a half or more. It has made me very upset and willing to do anything. I would appreciate any help you could give me, concerning how to finance, what type of procedure would be best and any other ideas you could help me with this problem. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, MM
Answer:
Lots of good questions., It is hard to answer without examination. Why don't you call our office and set up a complimentary cosmetic consult. AS to the question of bubble butt, I need to examine you to see what you have and then offer you a treatment plan. We have financing available.. Thanks for your interest.

Question:
Hi. I am a 41 year old male who's weight is aprox. 180lbs.(5'9"). I have gained and lost weight repeatedly in my life. I know that at one point in my early 20's my weight was as high as 270lbs., and that since then, I was able to reduce my weight to a low of 165lbs. All this yo-yo dieting has left me with a considerably larger wasteline. I remember that 6 years ago, when I weighed 165lbs., my measured waistline was aprox. 39",( although I could squeeze into a size 38 quite eaisly). My question is this; Can any of this excess skin be removed surgically, along with the many excessive strech-marks? This is something that has bothered me mentally my entire adult life. However, it seem's to me to be almost impossible to remove this much excess skin and depleted fat cells. I estimate that there must be as much as 15-20lbs of this unsightly, strech-marked skin around my waistline. Please Help, Thank You.
Answer:
It sounds like you may benefit from a two-stage procedure. The first to reduce the excess fat between the skin and abdominal muscles by liposuction. Three (or more) months later, the second procedure to remove the excess skin and stretch marks from the lower abdomen ("tummy-tuck").

Question:
My arms are large for my size. I am 5'2" and around 115 lbs. Is there anything can be done. I am 52 yrs. old.
Answer:
Liposuction may be of some help. You need to have a consultation with a Plastic Surgeon to determine if your skin will shrink sufficiently after the liposuction to make it worthwhile. An alternative procedure would be a brachioplasty (direct excision of the excess skin and fat), but it will leave a scar on the inner-back-side of the upper arm from the armpit to the elbow.
