I am only interested in the "High Profile" breast implant. They look the best! I can't find anyone in Los Angeles who does these, however I do know they are getting increasingly popular in Las Vegas. What is up with this? Noone gets back to me or wants to tell me about this particular implant. I know about 50 girls who would do this implant in a minute! What doctor in Los Angeles, does these? Thank you!
Answer:
I am sorry but I do not practice in LA. My practice is in Hawaii. I have used these implants for quite some time and have found the results excellent, especially in those who have short waists. I don't know any one specifically in LA placing thses but I would check with any plastic surgeon in the area since I am certain that many are.
Can I get breast implants to make me a B or C cup size?
I am a male. Thank you.
Answer:
It is technically possible to enlarge even a male chest to a B to C cup size. However, in some individual the use of skin expansion might be needed to accomplish this result. This simply put involves stretching the skin of the chest gradually to accomodate the size implant required to reach these cup sizes.
I am a man interested in 2 things: breast implants and some way of increasing the size of my hips to be proportional. Is this possible?
Answer:
Breast implants are definitely possible and have been utilized even in a male chest. Increasing hip size however will most likely not be feasible. Potentially, fat injections might be attemped but their longevity is in question.
Are silicone breast implants legal in any state? If so, where?
Answer:
If your question concerns silicone gel implants the answer is both yes and no. No, they are not legal for women seeking breast augmentation for the very first time. These women can only receive the silicone-saline implant. Yes, they are legal for women needing to replace their existing silicone gel implant or those needing reconstruction after mastectomy or for congenital(birth) defects of their breasts.
Are silicone breast implants legal in any state? If so, where?
Answer:
Silicone implants are legal everywhere. The ability to place silicone implants is dependent upon "urgent need". You can discuss this with your plastic surgeon
Question:
I have breast implants put it and I was told by my doctor that because I have very little breast tissue anyhow that if I ever wanted to have them taken out completely if they ever leak or whatever that the breast tissue gets so expanded that when it returns to its previous states it actually shrivels rather than returns to how it was before. Is this true? Also what activities should I not do with implants. Can I sleep on my stomache and how should my breast be handled during sex??
Answer:
The implants will have no effect on the amount of your own breast tissue and that will remain constant even if the implants are removed. In addtion, implants require no special"babying" even during sex. Having implants should not limit your life style and activities in any way.
After having breast implants, can I still breast feed?
Answer:
Dear Jessica,
The answer is it depends. Over 90% of women with breast implants either placed above or below the muscle can breast feed. Some ducts may be interrrupted in the procedure itself but, usually, many more are present.
Hope this helps.
Once I've had breast implants put in, will I ever have to replace them again? Can I just get them and never replace them? Why would anyone ever need to replace them?
Answer 1:
You probably will never need to replace the breast implants once placed. The manufacturers want us to inform our public that in the course of their lifetime there is a probability that the implants may need to be replaced in a person's lifetime. If the implants rupture or fail, then the implants need to be replaced.
Answer 2:
Breast implants are guaranteed by the manufacturers against rupture for life. Both of the major implant companies will replace them free of charge but you will have to cover the cost and inconvenience of the surgery. They contribute a small sum towards this cost as well.
The main reason for change of implants is to either change the size or, after many years, sagging of the breasts does occur and, at the time of a breast lift procedure, the implants would likely be changed to a different size.
The implants still have a problem with contracture (or hardening of the breast with resultant shape changes). Textured implants have helped this problem but it is still very common. Implants would be changed at the time of capsulectomy surgery to make the breasts soft again.
New implants which have a more natural feel and look are also on the horizon. Some women may wish to change to this newer type for a more natural feel and look compared to the currently available saline-filled implants.
I hope this helps explain why implants are often changed during the patient's lifetime.
What are the side effects or drawbacks of breast implants? Can a woman still breast feed?
Answer:
The major drawback is capsular contraction or hardening around the implant. There can be assymetry. There is a scar, though usually that is negligible. The implant can rupture and have to be replaced. There can be some decrease in sensation in the nipple-areola complex. You can still breast feed.
Good luck

Question:
I am interested in breast implants. Before preganancy, I was a a 34C. Now I am a 32C, but my breasts just dont seem full. They do not sag, but are not firm. Is there a procedure that can be done to restore firmness and fullness without making me huge?
Answer:
From what you have described, it sounds like a modest-sized breast implant may restore some of your breast firmness and fullness - especially since you indicate that your breasts don't sag. Another method to restore firmness without placing implants is to do a mastopexy, but that procedure leaves significantly more visible scars than does a breast augmentation.
