BIO: Folks if you are considering any type of surgery, you must understand it is just a TOOL. There is no the magical solution for obesity. You must follow all the rules and you MUST do all your follow up visits. Yes, at one point the scale showed a weight gain, and because of my commitment I called Dr. Valin's office and through their help, I am now 5 1/2 years after surgery at 153 lbs. You must exercise, even walking to the end of the driveway at first, then I did aquatic exercise and I still drink lots of water. The pounds melted away, a lot of anger melted away and life became worth living. I'm 50 years old and more active now then I was at 38. P.S. I love the entire staff at Dr. Valin's office, they are dedicated to YOU!
