Tooth Contouring & Re-Shaping
Female
Recession of gum tissue is very common. It detracts from a person's smile & sometimes leads to tooth sensitivity. There are a few different solutions for this problem. One of the most aesthetic procedures, with little post operative pain, often linked to free gingival grafts, is the subepithelial connective tissue graft.

Details: I added this patient to emphasize that the canine is one of the most common teeth to have recssion; because it is so prominent in the mouth. It also shows that males can also have recession. Tooth Contouring & Re-Shaping Photos - Angle 4
Details: This case was treated with a nonresorbable membrane used to correct periodontal bone defects. It was found that it could be used in some situations, to not only address small bone defects, but gum recession as well. These are 'Before' & one year 'After' photos. |
