Breast Augmentation (Breast Implants)
42 year old, Female, 125 lbs, 5' 4", Light skin tone
Point of Entry
Submammary (lower breast crease) Type of Implant Silicone-gel filled Implant Placement Sub-glandular (below gland tissue)
Note that before the surgery, the breast has a slightly droopy appearance, with the level of the nipple at the horizontal level of the breast crease. After breast augmentation, there is more fullness in the upper breast area and the level of the nipple is now above the horizontal level of the breast crease.

Details: Front view: Note how there is more fullness in the upper breast area. The appearance of the nipple/areolar area has changed too as the skin of the breast has been tightened around the implant. This does not happen with all patients but to test if it would happen to you, make a ring with your thumb and index finger of both hands and stretch out your own nipple areolar area. If it changes significantly in shape, then it will change with breast augmentation. |
