Full Mouth Reconstruction / Rehabilitation
30 year old, Male, Fair skin tone
Mark initially came to our practice for a second opinion. He is a director of operations for a company and has to interact with numerous clients and employees on a daily basis. During his youth he had noticed that he seemed to get cavities very easily and after a while just became tired of having so many problems with his "soft teeth" and essentially gave up. Mark finally came to the realization that if something wasnt done he would end up with dentures and he was much to young for that! So..on his quest to find out if his teeth could be saved he ended up in our practice. At first it may appear that there is no hope for Mark's teeth. He had lots of cavities and some broken and missing teeth. However, Mark has great bone holiding the roots of his teeth and his gums were fairly healthy too. Because the foundation was strong, it was possible to save many of his teeth and restore him back to his original form and function. It took three 5 hour appointments under oral sedation to fix Mark's teeth and a few shorter follow up appointments to put on the final touches. CERCON Zirconium porcelain crowns and bridges were designed to fix Mark's smile. He also underwent a number of root canals and buildups, extractions of non-salvagable teeth, and bone grafts. Mark will also have dental implants placed in the lower right jaw area as soon as bone has completely healed (usually between 4-6 months). Mark's confidence level has improved tremendously and he is now enjoying the success of being promoted on several different levels within the company he works for. For the first time in a long time, Mark is enjoying the freedom of chewing without pain and getting compliments on how great his smile looks.
