John had braces as a child but his teeth reverted back to being crooked after early adulthood. Having always been dissatissfied with his front teeth, John wanted straight teeth, and quickly. After discussing all of John's options we decided that removing his lateral incisors (the teeth on either side of the front two teeth)and grafting the bone with a synthetic material to preserve the bone was his best option to getting straight teeth. John was concerned about having big spaces after the teeth were extracted. For this reason we temporized all six of his front teeth during his first treatment visit, the teeth were removed, grafts were placed and the teeth on either side of these areas were recontoured and two temporary bridges were placed. The Waterlase brand laser was used during the surgical phase of treatment instead of scalpals and blades. A porcelain fused to a high noble gold undercoping bridge was created for the best esthetics and longevity. The end result is a marked improvement. Now things are much more uniform and easier to clean. John was very pleased with the outcome.
