Mr. C knew his smile didn't reflect his outgoing and gregarious nature. Yet, he just couldn't find the time to get things looked at and addressed. Mr. C is one busy man, but it kept bugging him that he couldn't smile in pictures. Once his major building/development project was completed, he had some down time and decided it was time. Three years after his intial exam and tx plan, he returned with instructions to "get it done". Mr. C's case was rather complex. Since he had ground down his teeth due to bruxism, we had to re-establish the vertical dimension he had lost. For 2 weeks, he wore a splint that mimicked the new height that his teeth would be made to. Several root canals were completed and post and cores placed. Then the major work of capping every tooth in his mouth began. It took three 3-4 hour appointments to complete his case. It also took about 2 weeks to get used to smiling and functioning at his new vertical height. Should you ask him if he remembers what his teeth used to look like, he is quick to dismiss the question, and respond with "but don't I look great now!"
