This 58-year old patient from Miami, Florida was who was interested in revisionary breast surgery. The patient is status-post breast augmentation surgery in 1984 and revisionary surgery in 2001, performed by another doctor. Due to capsular contraction, the patient was unhappy with the poor cosmetic results. The patient researched for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and found Dr. Pousti on the Internet. After several conversations with Dr. Pousti via e-mail and phone, the patient flew to the San Diego office to meet doctor Dr. Pousti and to discuss surgery in detail. The patient decided to schedule surgery the next day and proceed with surgery. The patient is now 3-days post-op capsulectomy of the left breast; removal of prior breast implants and replaced with saline breast implants, filled to 1600cc in both breasts (overfilled), made by Mentor Corporation. The patient is back in Florida recovering and healing nicely. The patient will be keeping in contact via e-mail and phone.
