Delayed Breast Reconstruction Tissue Expander
48 year old, Female, 140 lbs, 5'3, Light skin tone
This Patient is a 48 year old woman. She was diagnosed with a right breast cancer in 2003 and underwent a right mastectomy. She is 5'3 and 140 pounds. The patient underwent first stage right breast reconstruction with tissue expander placement in May 2006 and after allowing time for the reconstructed breast to mature, the tissue expander was removed and replaced with a permanent saline implant in November 2006. The patient also underwent a left breast augmentation for symmetry. Although happy with her result, she developed some visalbe rippling from the saline implant on the right and requested exchange of the saline implants to silicone. This was performed in September 2007 and the patient appears below...
