This Ohio native had tattoos on her back for many years and finally decided to have them removed. She initially went to a physician who used the wrong laser for tattoo removal. Her pre-treatment photographs show a thick scar on the left, a lot of residual ink, considerable loss of her skins natural pigment as well as a rim of excessive pigmentation. She responded very well to ND:YAG laser treatments done in my office using just topical local anesthesia.

Details: The pre-treatment photograph shows several potential complications of laser tattoo removal. Fortunately, over time, the pigmentation changes improved and the thick scar faded. Four treatments with the Nd:YAG laser eliminated her remaining tattoo pigment.

Details: This tattoo responded very little to her previous attempts at laser removal. She had just a faint amount of residual ink after four Nd:Yag laser treatments. |
