Case: 15592 Category: Breast Augmentation (Breast Implants) Gender: Female Point of Entry: Submammary (lower breast crease) Type of Implant: Silicone-gel filled Implant Placement: Partial Sub-Muscular (sub-pectoral, below pectoral) Description: This 24 year old female from Santa Maria wished to have breast enlargement by Dr. Lowenstein, a plastic surgeon in Santa Barbara. She wished to be a little on the larger side following her plastic surgery procedure. A 350cc saline implant was chosen to be used for her breast implant surgery, which took approximately 1 hr and 25 minutes. Post-operatively she had very little discomfort and was back to work shortly after her breast surgery. Her followup visits after having plastic surgery in Santa Barbara have been easy and she is very pleased with her breast augmentation outcome. |

Details: This frontal view shows good symmetry with a breast augmentation that is on the larger side. Often times in large breast enlargement procedures, the breast implants can be felt or seen with rippling. These breast implants were placed below the muscle in the upper breast and below the breast tissue in the lower breast- achieving very good tissue coverage and preventing the unwanted stigmata of breast augmentation.

Details: In this oblique view, the patient's form is further evaluated in the early postoperative period. As her breast implants were placed in a dual plane breast implant procedure, she has excellent coverage of the breast implant superiorly, while the lower portion of the breast has great projection, allowing a tear-drop shape, even in a breast augmentation which is a little on the large side- per the patient's wishes. Santa Barbara plastic surgeon Dr. Adam Lowenstein makes it a point to learn the patient's goals, and execute a treatment plan that allows the patient to reach her desired postoperative outcome.
