This patient had very short eyelashes prior to upper eyelash transplantation. The donor hair is taken from the back of the scalp and grows as fast as scalp hair; therefore the new transplanted eyelashes will need to be trimmed every 1-3 weeks. Otherwise the eyelash hair will be flapping against one's sun glasses!

Details: The photo to the right is after the eyelash surgery, prior to curling and trimming the eyelashes.

Details: The photo to the right is 8 days after the procedure. The eyelid still has a few scabs left over from the healing process. Note that the eyelid is still slightly discolored from the surgery. The new eyelashes need to be curled and trimmed. |
