This young woman of 19 from Wells, Maine needed a breast reduction. She was a 34 DD. She had dense breasts (not enough fat) not suitable for liposuction breast reduction, so she and Dr. Gray decided on a vertical reduction, which would give her the least amount of scarring and eliminate the scar under the breast. Dr Gray removed 700 grams of tissue from each breast. The patient was much happier with smaller breasts, now being a 34 C. She felt less self-conscious and generally more comfortable the proportions of her body.
