Patient who desired lip augmentation. Medium Surgisil PermaLip implants were placed under local anesthesia using tiny incisions hidden in the inside corners of the mouth. Lip implants require very little recovery and can easily be removed or exchanged or a different size at a later date. This patient returned to work the day after her procedure.
We currently prefer hyaluronic acid fillers for lip augmentation becuase of the very natural look, ease of treatment and minimal down time. This is a patient treated with Juvederm Ultra. Look at the excellent longevity at 9 months after the injection. Also look at the smooth, very natural look. We can also use Perlane and Restylane for this purpose. Which product we choose for you will depend on your age, the size and shape of your lips and the desired longevity.
Upper Lip Augmentation with Alloderm - Young woman whose upper lip was too small in relation to her lower lip. She would use a heavy lipstick to paint over the border of her upper lip to give the illusion of a larger upper lip. The upper lip was enlarged with alloderm. The lips are now in proportion and have a pleasing, attractive and youthful shape. This is especially apparent in the profile views of the before and after pictures. She no longer needs the heavy lipstick!
