This patient had an inward asian crease that she wanted to be placed on a higher outward location. The stab incision method was used to remove fat instead of the full incision for minimum recovery and scarring. The result is a very natural crease.
Dr. Lee performed asian crease/double eyelid surgery using the stab incision method on this patient. Three small incision was made on each eyelid to remove fat and to place sutures to anchor the crease line to the eyelid muscle. The result is a more natural appearance with minimal incision line.
This patient is a young lady in her early twenties who has severe ptosis(droopy upper lids)along with excess skin and fat. Dr. Lee performed ptosis repair surgery(opening the eyes by stitching/pulling the muscle), blepharoplasty(excess skin removal), significant amount of fat removal and also created a asian/double lid crease for the patient. The surgery resulted in a dramatic positive change in the patient's appearance.
This patient had very small eyes due to heavy droopy upper lids and small lateral opening. Dr. Lee performed blepharoplasty (removal of excess skin), removal of substantial amount of fat, ptosis repair (pulled the eyelid muscle to create a wider eye opening), recreated a higher asian crease and widen the eye laterally with a procedure called epicanthoplasty(cut near the nasal area).
Young Asian woman complaining about lack of eyelid crease. Post op month #1, after small tapered Asian eyelid crease designed according to patient's wishes.
Older asian woman without natural eyelid crease complaining about saggy eyelid skin both upper and lower. An upper Asian eyelid blepharoplasty was performed to create a crease and remove excess skin. Laser Fractionated CO2 was used for her lower eyelids to tighten up the skin.
Young Asian female who desired creation of an eyelid fold (Asian blepharoplasty). Because of her age and amount of excess skin, "suture technique" would not have given her a lasting, satisfactory result. Instead, an "open incison technique" with anchoring stitches was performed.
Older Asian patient who had eyelid surgery elsewhere that damaged her right upper eyelid causing it to droop (ptosis). She also had over aggressive removal of fat that caused her to look "hollowed" or "skeletonized". This over aggressive removal of fat also causes multiple eyelid folds to occur (as you can see).
