This 7 year-old female child from Indianapolis Indiana was born with a severe right ear deformity where most of the external ear was missing. Dr. Barry Eppley of Indianapolis Indiana performed a multi-staged microtia ear reconstruction. The first stage uses rib cartilage grafts to make the initial framework and subsequent stages involve smaller operations to make an ear release, a lobule, and a tragus.
