This 6 year-old male child from Indianapolis Indiana was born with a significant microtia deformity, missing most of his ear. Beginning at age 6, three ear reconstructions over one year were performed by Dr. Barry Eppley of Indianapolis Indiana. The goal of microtia reconstruction is to create most of what makes an ear look like an ear but perfect symmetry to the opposite normal ear is never possible.
