Earlobe Reduction (Otoplasty) Before and After Pictures by Barry L Eppley, M.D., D.M.D.

This is a 20 year-old male from Indianapolis Indiana that wanted earlobe repair. He had gauged his earlobes but now wanted to enter the military. As a requirement for entering the military, he had to have his earlobes returned to normal size with any holes or perforations in them. Dr. Barry Eppley, Indianapolis plastic surgeon, performed correction of his gauged hears with an earlobe reconstruction technique. This was done in the office under local anesthesia. There is very little swelling or pain afterwards and no bruising. This is an immediate photo at the completion of the procedure. He will get his sutures out in one week. There are no dressings or restriction of any physical activity afterwards.
