Breast Augmentation (Breast Implants)
Female
Point of Entry
Transabdominal (performed with tummy tuck) Type of Implant Saline filled Implant Placement Partial Sub-Muscular (sub-pectoral, below pectoral)
This woman from Pennsylvania wanted her breasts only slightly larger, basically she just wanted to regain what she had lost through pregnancy. She also wanted to have her excess hanging abdominal skin removed, preferably at the same time. Dr Dowden performed her tummytuck, and at the same operation placed breast implants - under the muscle 260cc each - through her navel ("TUBA") to avoid other scars. (Note that the term "transabdominal" is incorrect, as there is no entry inside the abdomen at all; the correct term is "transumbilical".) At the time of her after photo, her scars were still red, but faded over the following year. (The manufacturer's implant warranties are fully valid after the transumbilical method.)(41723)
