Case: 12576 Category: Breast Reconstruction Surgery Gender: Female Description: This woman had undergone a right mastectomy (modified radical type) for breast cancer. Immediate reconstruction was not offered to her at the hospital where the procedure had been done. Her reconstruction was done using a combination silicone gel and saline type of implant. Her nipple was formed by a three-flap trefoil method, and then the coloration by medical tattooing. She is now able to dress and do her normal activities without concern about having to camouflage her situation. (0329-) |
