This patient had bilateral breast cancer requiring mastectomies. She underwent an immediate reconstruction with bilateral free DIEP (deep inferior epigastric) free flaps with microsurgery, sparing her the loss of her abdominal wall muscles. Dr. Dabb was the first surgeon in Pennslvania to perform this procedure.
