This 65 year-old female from Lafayette Indiana wanted to get rid of her neck waddle but did not want to undergo a traditional facelift to do so. Dr. Barry Eppley performed a direct neck lift which involved cutting out the waddle directly, leaving a fine scar down the middle of the neck.
This patient recieved both a neck and face lift. As one ages or gains weight, the neck muscles and skin become lax. The neck lift procedure is designed for an aging, saggy neck caused by a combination of loose skin, loose muscles and excess fat. Dr. Hakki makes a small incision near the ears, lifting the skin and recreating the neck of one's youth.
This 75 year-old man first had a QuickLift facelift done in Columbus, Ohio. He came to see Dr. Lichten because he was unhappy that the loose skin of his neck, which was his primary concern, was not corrected. A direct neck lift using Z-plasties to hide his scars was suggested to address his primary concern.
The procedure was done with the patient awake under local anesthetic.

This patient had a fat accentuation procedure as well as a neck lift. With fat accentuation, Dr. Hakki uses his patient's own fat to restore the youthfulness of the face. This procedure is non-invasive and quick with little downtiem. With fat accentuation, wrinkles, laugh lines, and sunken areas around the eyes and cheeks are filled. This will improve the look around the eyes and temples, even raising the cheekbones.
