Gynecomastia

This is a 31-year old man with bilteral gynecomastia, which is moderate in size with some hanging of the skin. He underwent bilateral suction-assisted lipectomy with glandular excision. He had approximately 500cc of glandular tissue or fatty tissue excised from each chest as well as glandular excision and reshaping. Photos are seen approximately four months after surgery.

The patient is a 25-year old man with asymmetrical gynecomastia. His right side is quite pendulous with a significant component of glandular tissue. The left side is much smaller but with periareolar protrusion. Note his lean figure and the lack of fatty tissue around the glandular area. The after photo is seen approximately four months after surgery.

A 31-year old man with bilateral gynecomastia who underwent suction-assisted lipectomy and glandular excision. The amount of fatty component excised through the liposuction was 700cc on his right side and 400cc on his left side. The photographs are taken approximately three months after surgery.

This is a 19-year old boy who was born with gynecomastia presenting to my office for a glandular excision and suction-assisted lipectomy. Noting from his skin changes, a band was worn around his chest to help camouflage the size of his chest. He underwent a periareolar incision with suction-assisted lipectomy in which we extracted approximately 600cc of fat from each side. A photo is shown approximately six weeks after surgery.

This patient is a teenage male who was troubled breast development on his chest, known as Gynecomastia. This created problems for him in terms of dealing with his classmates. Dr. Reath used liposuction to treat this area. The patient is happy and feels the results have improved his overall confidence.
