This is a delightful woman from Naples,FL who wanted to rejuvinate her eyelids and get rid of the bags under her eyes. We preformed an upper eyelid lift and a lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty with a light Sciton laser peel to the lower eyelid areas. She healed beautifully in one week, this is a one week post-op photo.
Increasingly often, people were telling this patient that she looked tired. She noticed that the extra skin of her upper eyelid was folding downwards, almost touching her eyelashes, and making it difficult to apply eyeliner and shadow. This 73 year old man wanted to see better. He underwent bilateral upper lid blepharolplasty to help to improve his visual field and also to remove the redundant and excess skin over hanging on his upper eyelids. His post operative pictures were taken two months after surgery.
Although she had only a small amount of excess eyelid skin, this patient was troubled by bulging of her lower lids, which made her appear tired when she was not. Dr Dowden performed a lower lid blepharoplasty ("eyelid lift") for her, which consisted primarily in the reduction and repositioning of the fat pads of her lower eyelids. (0681-)
