This teenager had very thin gingiva on the lower anterior teeth and there was a concern that recession could become a problem. This situation was easly solved with a subepitheleal connective tissue graft.
Recession of gum tissue is very common. It detracts from a person's smile & sometimes leads to tooth sensitivity. There are a few different solutions for this problem. One of the most aesthetic procedures, with little post operative pain, often linked to free gingival grafts, is the subepithelial connective tissue graft.
This young woman had amelogenesis imperfecta, a disorder in which there is faulty development of dental enamel. It is very thin & friable, and often has a brownish stain. Her upper teeth also appeared short. The solution for this young lady was gingival recontouring & veeners.
This attractive young woman had been missing the 'lateral incisors' from birth. They would have been the smaller teeth on either side of the two front teeth...... but they never developed. She had had Orthodontics to move the large canines (corner teeth) in next to the front teeth, but it left the teeth looking a bit too large.
