Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
Female
I had heart valve damage caused by Phen-fen, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep apnea. I needed oxygen at all times, increasing from 2 liters to 4 liters. On August 15th, 2005, I had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery. In 2006, I found out that the symptoms from pulmonary hypertension had gone away and I no longer needed oxygen or c-pap. I am still on medication, but I no longer need the tank. I have been given my life back and I can live again!
