It can take time to find the right breast augmentation surgeon to perform your breast lift, breast augmentation procedure or breast reduction surgery. You’ll need to review the surgeon’s credentials, learn about the different services he or she offers and review breast augmentation before and after photos to gauge the surgeon’s skill level.

Different incision approaches create different type of scars, and some are easier to hide than others. With your input, your cosmetic surgeon or board-certified plastic surgeon will select your breast implant incision location. Breast implant surgeons prefer to use certain types of incision approaches based on the type of breast implants you’ve chosen and how much breast tissue manipulation will be involved. Also, certain incisions carry more risks than others.
