Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)
57 year old, Female, Medium skin tone
Just 5 days after this patient's temporal brow lift, the hooding at the outer corners of her eyes is vanished. Eyelid surgery would not remove this excess tissue - as it results from a fallen brow and requires repositioning the brow for ideal cosmetic enhancement results.

Details: How are brow and forehead lifts performed? Several techniques may be used to raise the brow. A thin incision may be placed directly above the eye browsresulting in a more alert and rejuvenated expression yet leaving a telltale scar. Insurance companies on occasion will pay for this technique when the brow is so low that vision is impaired. For a more cosmetically pleasing outcome, patients often elect a brow lift with a much less visibleif not entirely hiddenscar. By placing a thin incision along the crease of the upper eyelid, Dr. Mark Berkowitz is able to reposition the brow as well as remove excess sagging tissue from the upper lidsand once healed, any scarring is quite faint. Raising a heavy forehead is slightly more complicated. Tiny incisions are hidden in the hairline. Then, Dr. Berkowitz uses endoscopic equipment (a small camera about the size of a pencil) to clearly see the tissue, nerves and muscles beneath the skin. With another thin instrument, Dr. Berkowitz is able to reposition the brow using a newer device, called an endotine.

After photos were taken 1-4 Weeks after surgery/procedure.
