I started looking for a surgeon after I lost a significant amount of weight and had a significant amount of loose, hanging skin on my abdomen. I also had issues with my breasts sagging even though I do not have any children. I did a lot of research online and decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Koo. I corresponded briefly with her assistant, Joanne before my appointment and she assured me that Dr. Koo would not recommend any procedure she did not feel I needed. At my consultation Dr. Koo suggested I only have a breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction of my inner thighs despite the fact that there were other areas of my body I was unhappy with. She assured me that once the real "trouble" areas were taken care of I would not feel the need to have these other procedures done. She was very professional and very honest. I was encouraged to call with any questions or concerns I might have prior to surgery. Joanne was absolutely wonderful! She always got back to me whenever I called the office and spent as much time as I needed to have my questions answered and to make sure I understood everything fully. I am very happy with the results of my surgery. Dr. Koo repaired the muscles in my stomach and it is flatter than I can ever remember it being! I can wear spaghetti strap tank tops or halter tops without a bra and you can't even tell the difference! Dr. Koo has encouraged with my diet tips and even scheduled a follow-up after 6 months instead of 1 year to keep me on track. She isn't just about the surgery. She is very encouraging with after care as well. I am very pleased with all of the care and surgical results I received from Dr. Koo. (Don't forget Joanne. She's absolutely fabulous!)

Hi I would like to give a testimony about having my implants removed by Dr. Michele Koo.I had breast implant surgery 33years ago. About five years ago I started getting questionable mammograms. I was told I might have silicone leakage, the radiologist suggested I have a MRI, so I did. Results no leakage. The next mammogram the radiologist suggested an ultra sound. The results were it looked like the scar tissue from implant surgery was attaching to my lymph nodes. I also noticed my Breast were becoming more firm and changing shape. Radiologist recommended that I see a Plastic Surgeon.Well after having implants for 33 years I didnt know exactly what I wanted to do, I was use to having large breasts and didnt know if I wanted to have implants again or would I be satisfied with smaller breast. I was also nervous about having surgery, and wanted to find a doctor I felt comfortable with. After a few months I made my decision, I was going to have my implants removed and my breast reconstructed. Now to find a doctor. I wanted to get more than one opinion, so I did. I decided on Dr. Michele Koo for several reasons. She is very personable and compassionate, I felt very comfortable with her. She went into detail about the surgery and made me feel very positive. Also the removal of my implants and reconstruction could all be done in one surgery. I was so glad to hear that because I was nervous about surgery any way and did not want to have two surgeries, (the other Plastic surgeon I went to told me it would have to be two different surgeries). I felt very good and confident after talking to Dr. Michele Koo, and made my appointment the next day to have surgery. The day of surgery I was made very comfortable and was not nervous at all. I am so happy with the results and I dont miss having larger breast!!I would highly recommend Dr. Michele Koo, she is great, and her staff is wonderful, if you have questions they are always there to answer them also if you need to see Dr. Koo prior to your scheduled appointment they will always make time for you. After trying for 10 years to get my loose skin tight and my stomach muscles back after having twins I relized I needed help. After having the consultation with DR.Koo and many other doctors I knew she would do the best job without a doubt. This surgery is one that I have wanted since I was a teenager and it took me until I was in my 60s to do it. What a mistake. For all of those that are afraid of the surgery, I am here to tell you the honest truth. The worst part, for me, was the itching I had for about one week and that was the worse. I was eighteen years old when I had my breast augmentation. Being so young my family and I were very particular on who we selected for my doctor. We wanted someone that would not only provide great surgical results but also take the time to get to know us as individual people and not just another patient. Dr. Koo did just that. Absolutely a life changing decision! Im so glad I found Dr. Koo. She is a professional medical doctor as well as what I would call an artist. She took time and great care in helping me create a body image I would feel great about. While we all have parts of our bodies that we are not pleased with, mine was my breasts. I had been considering breast augmentation for quite some time when I was referred to Dr. Koo. When I met with her for the first time she and her staff made me feel so comfortable, even when I asked the uncomfortable questions. I shared my concerns and my expectations with Dr. Koo and she gave me her honest opinion so I could decide how I would feel best about my body. I went from barely a B cup to a DD. While I was a little apprehensive about what others would think about the large increase in size, I wanted to feel very feminine and sexy. Best Decision I've ever made! I've been big breasted my entire life. Grade school and high school was humiliating for me because I was teased about how large my breasts were. At age 31 I had my first child. I was a triple D/F before getting pregnant. I spent 23 weeks on bed rest and lost most of the muscle strength in my back. Post-partum, I was a 42G. My breasts were huge and long. They rested near my belly button. I couldn't even hold my son close to me because my breasts were in the way. This threw my center balance off and caused extreme pain in my back. One to two minutes were as long as I could stand and hold my son. I was in pain all the time. I couldn't sleep on my back because I felt like I was suffocating. When sleeping on my sides, I had to wedge a pillow in between my breasts for comfort. Clothes were horrible. Even the most modest neckline could be stretched to make me look trashy because my breasts were spilling out of them.On September 1, 2010, I met Dr. Koo and on October 21, 2010 she changed my life. I had a Breast Reduction. I waited way too long to have this done. The procedure went very well and the recovery was extremely fast. Dr. Koo kept telling me that I would be feeling wonderful within a day or two. I thought she was crazy. She was right. I was up, dressed & leaving the house within 2 days (this is only because I struggle a little with anesthesia). Within a week I was lifting my 20-month-old son. There is virtually no pain with this. What I felt was more like a deep bruising and my breasts were tender if my son bumped into me. Nothing a little Tylenol can't fix. I'm a new person! I have more energy and I can now carry my son around and hold him close to me.My insurance covered the cost of this procedure. I paid $175 co-pay to change my life. I spend that on groceries every 2 weeks. It was silly that I waited so long. If you are even remotely considering doing this, JUST DO IT!!! Most insurance companies will pay for it, it is same-day surgery, and the recovery time is nothing. Dr. Koo and her physician's assistant, Joanne, were wonderful!! They truly care about their patients. They answered any questions I had and Joanne took my call when I had a question. There was no waiting for a return call. I have already recommended Dr. Koo to several of my friends and will continue to do so. Did I also mention that it is a 2.5 hour drive ONE-WAY just to get to Dr. Koo's office from my home? She's worth it!!

The HCG Diet Will Change Your Weight and Sculpt Your Body!This is absolutely the best diet around  and the only diet I wholeheartedly recommend. I had never heard of it, but was amazed several months ago when my brother came for a visit, and I noticed that had lost his beer belly. I remarked on how good he looked and he proceeded to tell me about the hcg diet, which he had done through Dr. Koo. I had gained 15 pounds several years earlier after repeated bouts of pneumonia and bronchitis and had never been able to lose the extra weight. (I would try to eat less, but never seemed to do it well enough or consistently enough to make any inroads; and I barely had time to exercise.) I was beginning to hate the way my clothes fit and was feeling nothing short of frumpy. Once I heard about how the hcg targets the bodys trouble areas, I was hooked. Almost all of my extra weight was in my thighs and buttocks, so thats exactly what I wanted  a diet that would concentrate on those areas. Since I had never before been on any strict diet for more than a day (or less!), I was a little intimidated, but somehow knew that this was the diet for me. I began to mentally prepare myself and get focused on what Id need to do to complete the diet. I also bought, pre-weighed and individually wrapped all the meat and seafood I was allowed for my lunch and dinner meals on the diet, to make sure everything would run smoothly. I started my gorging phase on Easter Sunday, which seemed like a perfect time to eat without guilt. The following day, however, I was a little afraid to continue to massive eating, and probably didnt eat as much as I should have. (I was so afraid I would gain weight on the two gorging days and then not have the willpower to complete the diet and lose the weight! Ive since discovered that those two days of gorging are important, however. They will make your first week much easier!) I started the 500-calorie portion of the diet on Day 3 and basically never looked back. It took extra focus in the beginning  I was so used to eating what I wanted, when I wanted and socializing  but I kept thinking of how nice it was going to be to fit easily into my summer Capri pants. Also, I had to ask myself, What was the alternative? Stopping the diet and returning to being unhappy with my weight? Day after day, week after week, it became easier and easier to be on the diet. Effortless is really the word. And seeing my weight drop on a regular basis was tremendously motivating! I lost the 15 pounds I had gained several years ago, and although I felt like my old self again and was wearing pants I hadnt worn in years, I realized that I had always wanted to lose a few additional pounds even then, so I continued on the diet, losing another 5 pounds. This new weight got me just past my wedding weight in 2003 and I had to once again switch my old pants down to my skinniest pants -- thankfully, I had kept many of them. Amazingly, I also noticed that some cellulite that I had on my thighs  something I detested and would have given anything to rid myself of  was tremendously reduced. At first I thought it was imagination, then proceeded to look in different lights, thinking I was mistaken, and finally confirmed my thoughts on the Internet and through Dr. Koo. What a bonus! As I finish out the diet, I am excited to see the continued reshaping that is happening in my thigh area  something I find very exciting. I love shopping for clothes again  and feel great! Dr. Koo and her staff are wonderful. I had liposuction of my upper thighs. The results were fantastic!! It wasn't cheap, but I think it was worth the money and I would definately do it again.

Dr. Koo makes every effort to make her patients happy with their results. I honestly did not expect to be this happy with my implants, as I was extremely asymmetrical to start with. I had implants 10 years ago (not from Dr. Koo) and was never very happy with the outcome. I am 35 years old, and this is the first time in my life that I am confident about my breasts. I will definitely go back to Dr. Koo for other services. She is my God!

I had abdominoplasty with liposuction with Dr. Koo. I think the results are beautiful! This type of surgery is not inexpensive but I can say that it is the best money I have ever spent on myself. I tried diet and exercise for several years and although I lost weight, the general appearance of my stomach/abdomen never changed (midline scar, loose skin and bulging). I had laser treatment for acne scars about 10 years ago with Dr. Koo and I was very happy with the results so when I started thinking about the abdominoplasty, I went to Dr. Koo. I am very happy with the outcome of both procedures and I feel I received very good care.

I would like to thank Dr. Koo and Joanne and the rest of her staff. I had a wonderful experience, I am very grateful and very happy for the results that i have had. Everyone has noticed my results my stomach is so much flatter my horrible C-Section scar is gone and more importanly i feel so much better about myself, i actually had went from a size 12-14 to a size 4-6 and i no longer have a muffin top and i no longer have to wear big shirts to cover up my stomach and my self esteem is so much better. I actually had went to Florida and i wore a two pcs bikini and it was awesome. I remember the first time I went to see Dr. Koo. I was so nervous I couldn't hardly sit still. I have struggled with being overweight all my life. Like a yoyo lose 30lbs put on 50lbs. I had lost over 30lbs a couple of years earlier and it was very quickly coming back. I was so discouraged. I've tried every diet out there. I was afraid Dr. Koo would tell me I wasn't a good candidate. She put me at ease right away and when she told me she could help me I couldn't hold back the tears. I am a 46 year old grandmother and this experience has been a dream come true. I have always been large breasted and hated it. I was commonly known as "the sister with the big boobs". How embarrassing. When I was referred to Dr. Koo by a friend of my husband's and I was hesitant about what the experience would be like. I checked out the website and read up on everything that I could. When I went for my first appointment to meet Joann and Dr. Koo, I was a little embarrassed about having to remove my shirt and be examined. Joann and Dr. Koo made me feel comfortable and explained everything that I needed to know. I really got excited when I thought "Finally, Ill be rid of these things hanging off the front of me. As a special incentive, I even bought a smaller size bra and hung it where I could see it every day. The day of my surgery or should I say, my new beginning arrived. I was nervous of the outcome but confident enough in my doctor to brush the nervous feelings aside. After I awoke from the surgery I had to look to make sure that it actually happened and I wasnt just dreaming. Hurray, they were smaller!!! I went from a 36 triple D/F to a very nice 34 size C. I have enjoyed being able to were smaller and yes, sexy tops. Something I have never been able to do. My husband just loves the new look and I have much more confidence in myself. My headaches are nearly gone and its only been seven weeks. My back, shoulders and neck feel much better and I can sleep more comfortable at night. This is one event that I have no regrets at all happening. I must say that the worse part of this experience was having the drainage tubes removed. Dont let this scare you though, it is only uncomfortable for a moment and it is well worth the results. Trust me I know. Dont sit and just dream about it like I did, in pain, for so many years.
