What is your charity organization of choice and why?

I support many charities. It is important to help others when we can. I give to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, because I lost my grandmother to breast cancer. I give to Habitat for Humanity because a new home that you worked to build can completely turn one's life around. What does living in the Colleyville community mean to you?

I love the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It is full of friendly people and a sunny climate. What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?

I have an artistic side that applies well to this specialty. When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?

I have wanted to be a physician since the 2nd grade, but I found I really loved surgery during medical school at about age 20. I like the fact that surgery can make a tangible difference in somebody's life quickly.

Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?

The perfect outcome is that you are happy with your results, whether you want a little change or a big change.

In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?

I would travel the world. I particularly love Santorini and would stay there for months.

I am an eyelid specialist. I operate only on and around the eyelids. My focus is to do the absolute best I can for the eyelid area without distraction to other areas of the body.
