Mark F. Hendrickson, MD,is Section Head of Hand Surgery, as well as a Staff Member in the Department of Plastic Surgery. He works out of both the main campus, as well as the Solon office.
He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His specialty interests include hand and wrist surgery, congenital hand surgery, microsurgery, reconstructive surgery (chest, abdomen, extremities), melanoma, and aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Hendrickson earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at Tulane University Hospital and Clinics in New Orleans, La., was a Research Fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., a second year Fellow in Maxillofacial Surgery at MIEMS Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, a resident in Craniofacial and Microvascular Surgery, also at MIEMS Shock Trauma Center, and a Fellow in Hand Surgery at the Curtis Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Dr. Hendrickson is a member of several medical societies, including the Academy of Medicine, the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, among others.
He has published a number of articles on various topics relating to emergency medicine and reconstructive surgery. He has received a number of awards and honors, including being named Ohio Surgeon of the Year by the Ohio Association of Occupational Therapy.
