Dr. Luis Gorospe has performed over 3000 Bariatric procedures since graduating from Oklahoma University’s residency in 1978. He was the first surgeon to perform the Laparoscopic Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass procedure in Oklahoma and was the first doctor from Oklahoma to have membership in the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons. Dr. Gorospe and The Bariatric Surgery Associates of Tulsa service patients from all over including: Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, New York, England and Japan.

Morbid Obesity is a very common problem, and it is the Center’s philosophy that each individual interested in Bariatric Surgery must have as much information as possible prior to the surgery to be sure it is right for them. This is why Dr. Gorospe holds Weight Loss Surgery seminars on a monthly basis. In addition, a Surgical Weight loss consultation is performed in the office prior to surgery to cover all the more specific details.
