She had previous PFM (porcelain Fused to Metal) crowns on these teeth which cause an unsightly black line at the gingival (gum) margin. They were also opaque and did not match her other teeth. When she smiled, everybody could tell she had dental work on her front teeth. The patient often hid her smile and was self conscious of her smile.
