She was diagnosed with a right breast cancer in 2003 and underwent a right mastectomy. She is 5'3 and 140 pounds. The patient underwent first stage right breast reconstruction with tissue expander placement in May 2006 and after allowing time for the reconstructed breast to mature, the tissue expander was removed and replaced with a permanent saline implant in November 2006. She had anatomical expanders placed at the initial procedure which were later exchanged for a permanent profile saline implants. Reconstruction of the nipple and areola was also performed in addition to correction of contour irregularities of the abdomen from earlier bowel surgery.
