Case: 3193 Category: Crowns & Bridges Gender: Female Skin Tone: Fair Description: Marilyn came to our practice looking for a way to give her smile a more youthful and healthy appearance. She had seen dentists regularly her whole life, but had become prey to "patchwork" dentistry. A filling here and a crown there. Sometimes we refer to this as the "shotgun approach". After doing a full diagnostic exam and consultation it was obvious that Marilyn was at a crossroads with most of her teeth that had been treated in the past. Alot of the old dentistry was wearing out and keeping Marilyns wishes in mind, we came up with a strategy to protect the teeth where dentistry was failing and in her teeth that had no fillings or old dentistry we decided to lighten by bleaching. We used a variety of different materials to restore Marilyns teeth including crowns made of porcelain fused to metal substructures, Finesse ceramic crowns, and Finesse veneers. |
