Case: 14891 Category: Arm Lifts (Brachioplasty) Gender: Female Description: This patient from Pennsylavania consulted with Dr. Jason E. Leedy at the Cleveland Plastic Surgery Institute to discuss arm reshaping (brachioplasty) surgery. She was troubled by the excessive arm skin and fat. This extra tissue required that she find shirts that fit her arms rather than her body. After her consultation with Dr. Leedy she desired an arm lift (brachioplasty) but wanted at all costs to avoid a scar which extended to the elbow. She was interested in a "Minimal Incision" Brachioplasty. Like most things in plastic surgery "Minimal Incision" can often mean "Minimal Result" but by using extensive liposuction of the arm in addition to significant tension on the scar in the armpit the contours of the arm have improved very nicely. Her scars are slightly more red than most but should continue to improve over time. She is very happy with her results and is now much more comfortable in her clothes.
