Case: 10203 Category: Breast Lift Surgery Age: 21 Weight: 152 Height: 5' 5" Gender: Female Skin Tone: Fair Description: This young lady presented with a congenital breast deformity involving a tubular breast or constriction (narrowing) and a herniated (bulging) nipple-areolar complex. She underwent a SPAIR mastopexy, with a small 20gm reduction to the slightly larger left breast, which resulted in the results seen below. As with most mastopexy procedures, a reduction in the areola was also performed. Although the scars are red, this is totally normal and expected; however, they will fade over time. Finally, she did not want implants but now that the breast has been restored to its normal postion, this can easily be achieved at a later time should she choose to do so. Details: A reduction with elevation of the areola is noted. In order to preserve the natural shape and contour of the breast, however, a small area of areolar skin had to be included in the lift - which can be seen just under the right breast areolar border. This detail was discussed with the patient before surgery and was of no consequence to her. She is so pleased to finally have a normal breast. Details: These views reveal complete preservation of the natural and beautiful contours of the normal breast. A SPAIR mastopexy was used, which resulted in only a lollipop type scar. Shaping of the breast was also possible with this technique.
