As Phil Collins lead guitarist for over twenty years, my job requires me to read music as well as the control knobs on my guitars, amplifiers, effects pedals, etc... — not to mention doing this on a sometimes dimly lit or completely dark stage. Over the last 8 to 10 years these things have become more difficult as my vision has slowly deteriorated. I wore glasses when I needed to but that became more of a hassle during performance with them slipping down, fogging up, etc... and yes, vanity is a factor too!
So I started to read about Lasik surgery. After asking around I was surprised to learn how many people I knew actually had Lasik surgery. The more I read and talked to people about their experience I was more convinced it was for me. A higher percentage of my Milwaukee friends went to Dr. Hale for their surgery and were happy with the long term results.
Well, here I am today months after the Lasik surgery and seeing with 20/15 vision. Performing on stage is a lot easier and more fun. Watching a movie or driving the car is such a pleasure without glasses. It seems to open up a lot more options in my profession as well as my daily life.
The whole experience was also much easier than I expected. The staff at the Hale Vision Center are so professional and caring like nothing I had ever experienced in a traditional doctors office. You feel that they are spending quality time with you and giving you all the information you need to make this decision. Even after my first consultation I never felt any pressure from them to make a quick decision on when or if I wanted to have the surgery at all. From the surgery itself to the follow up appointments it's been a great experience all around.

At the Hale Vision Laser & Implant Center, you are treated as a unique individual, not as part of an assembly line. Our practice is very strict in limiting the number of patients they perform surgery on in one day. This approach enables our surgeon and the team to stay fresh and alert throughout the surgical process.
There are no hidden costs or fees. All initial testing and one year of postoperative care is included in the initial charge. Nor are there any hidden restrictions or exclusions in our re-treatment policy.
We strive to bring patients like you the best corrected vision. Often, doctors lacking skill or experience may feel uncomfortable performing re-treatments if a patient's visual acuity is 20/40 or better. As long as it is medically safe to do so, Dr. Hale will proceed with a re-treatment if it is your desire.
