As a professional goalie, my eyes are #1. My best years on the ice were when I didn't have glasses. Since then, I've had to wear contacts which made it painful and uncomfortable before, during and after the game. Every second counts while on the ice, so I cannot compromise my vision. I have to do everything I can to be the best player that I can be. Getting surgery done with Dr. Rootman allowed me to do that. I am so thankful to staff at YELC for making me feel safe throughout the entire process from beginning to end, and most importantly for helping me get rid of my contact lenses. I had a very high prescription before going into surgery which made buying lenses difficult, but thanks to YELC I don't have to worry about that anymore. I can't wait to go back to Germany next week and get right back into the game with my new eyes! Thank you!
