Your safety is paramount. Unlike many doctors’ offices where hair restoration is performed, at Porcaro Hair & Cosmetic Surgery your surgery will take place in a level 2 office based surgery facility registered with the Florida Board of Medicine. This accreditation assures you that your facility and your staff have met stringent safety requirements that permit the administration of oral or intravenous sedation. It is your assurance that we have the training and support equipment to manage medical emergencies, in the unlikely event that is ever necessary.
Private complimentary consultations. The consultation process is extremely important and Dr. Porcaro will personally perform your consultation. Only the MD/Surgeon with experience, knowledge and artistic skill is truly able to diagnose and recommend a comprehensive treatment plan. Only the MD/Surgeon knows the technologic limitations, the patient's limitations (if any) and his own limitations. You will appreciate meeting privately with your doctor, Dr. Porcaro, to review your medical history and to discuss your treatment options, as opposed to receiving recommendations from a paid non-medical sales consultant.
No sales consultants. Dr. Porcaro does not feel obligated to proceed with a surgical procedure based on the recommendation of a salesperson. Having worked with non-medical sales consultants in the past, Dr. Porcaro is convinced they interfere with the doctor/patient relationship, occasionally make incorrect diagnoses and treatment recommendations and result in higher charges for patients.
Comprehensive hair services. You can be confident that we employ all modalities in the diagnosis & treatment of hair loss. Your scalp and hair will be analyzed under 50 power magnification with the HairSys computer software program at the time of your consultation. You will receive only ultra refined follicular unit transplants (the gold standard for hair transplantation) & you also have the option to take advantage of our low level laser, useful even if you don’t elect to have surgery. You will learn about the benefits of proven medical treatment with Propecia and Rogaine.
