Dr. Gary Vela is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and is a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is Chairman of the Sub-Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Maryland affiliated Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Dr. Vela is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His personal, compassionate, caring, individualized approach has made him one of the area’s premier plastic surgeons.

I never thought of myself as getting plastic surgery. But after having you (Dr. Vela) treat me, all I can do is tell everyone to go to you. After my breast implants and mini-facelift, my friends thought I looked great, but they didn't know that I had surgery. That was 5 days after the procedures. All I can do is say is "thank you Dr. Vela", and tell everyone "I know a great plastic surgeon".

Dr. Vela is well known to spend large amounts of individual time with his patients during their consultations. He believes in education, maintenance, and prevention. Dr. Vela is one of the most highly trained plastic surgeons in the area. He is Chairman of the Sub-Department of Plastic Surgery at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.  Dr. Vela is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His expansive surgical training allowed him to educate and train other plastic surgeons and physicians on plastic surgical techniques. He routinely lectures and trains physicians on contemporary plastic surgery.
