About Christopher Maloney, Jr., MD - Tucson, Arizona (AZ)

Christopher T. Maloney, Jr., M.D., is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at The Institute for Plastic Surgery. Based in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Maloney has hospital privileges at University Medical Center, Tucson Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Healthsouth Surgical Center and Children’s Rehabilitation Clinic.

Dr. Maloney was raised in Tucson, Arizona where he graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School in 1986. After graduating with honors from the University of San Diego he attended Medical School at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. From there Dr. Maloney continued his training in General Surgery in Nashville, TN at Vanderbilt Medical Center. While living in Nashville, he also received his Masters in Business Administration from the Owen Graduation School of Management and completed a Burn Fellowship in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt. In 1998, Dr. Maloney and his family moved to Boston for his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the Harvard Plastic Surgery Training Program. During this time he was Chief Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital – Boston, Beth Israel, Deaconess, and Shriner’s Burn Hospital. Dr. Maloney has additional training in Microsurgery, Peripheral Surgery, Craniofacial Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Maloney is also a local board member for the American Diabetes Association. Dr Maloney is also a member of the Pima County Medical Society, a candidate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a candidate member of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Maloney and his family currently reside in Tucson. His hobbies include Golf, Rock Climbing and Triathlons. Dr. Maloney rides on the Elkhorn and Los Charros Del Desierto rides and is an active member of the Centurions, a non-profit organization which raises money for local charitable causes.
