Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
Saving lives is very rewarding. When I discover the something that enables my patient to live well because I noticed something. A small child with a brain tumor came in with a headache. I recognised the problem when I looked in his eyes. Seeing his mother's relief when finally took her son's headaches seriously and saved his life. THis is a biggy! But most of all, I enjoy working with people helping them get the most of their everyday lives, healthily.
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
I believe in giving to GreenPeace, our children need a healthy planet to live on ... with birds and bees, water and air .. and food to enjoy.
What does living in the Vancouver community mean to you?
It offers me the opportunity to offer health to everyone, in Burnaby. And Vancouver offers me the opportunity to diversify care for "the worried well" who want to live their lives as healthy as possible.The cherry on top, is my ability with my staff, we are able to assist them to look their best.
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
I care about people. I communicate well with them. It is all about bed-side manner!

Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
A perfect outcome of a surgical procedure is a patient who is happy with their procedure because they have been given realistic expectations.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
I love preventative health. It sure beats curative health. Why not avoid getting sick, instead of curing illess?
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
In a perfect world I would retire today and continue doing the work I do, because I love what I do... and take vacations more often! I look forward to seeing more of the world, with my family.
