Dr. Janna Bentley received her Bachelor of Science in Honours Physiology from the University of British Columbia in 1997, and then received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Alberta in 2003. From 2003-2005 Dr. Bentley completed her residency training at the University of Alberta in family medicine with a focus on phlebology (the study of venous disease) and a special interest in dermatology. All of her elective time was spent doing rotations in phlebology and skin-related areas in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.
After completing her training Dr. Bentley returned to Kelowna where she grew up, where her and her husband look forward to raising a family. Dr. Bentley joined the Kelowna Vein and Laser Centre in June 2005 and began her career in phlebology. In the fall of 2005 she joined the Okanagan Vein & Skin Care Centre, as well as the medical staff at Kelowna General Hospital. She became a diplomate of the American Board of Laser Surgery in 2005, and has recently become certified as a Registered Vascular Technologist (2007), specializing in ultrasound diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins. Dr. Bentley regularly travels with a group on a medical mission to Honduras to treat severe varicose veins and she finds this very rewarding.

Payment Options
The B.C. Medical Services Plan covers some treatments (for example, some types of varicose veins), however many of the services offered are considered cosmetic and billing is private. There are exceptions to this which are best delineated in a consultation with your doctor.
Some private payers or personal extended benefit plans are helpful in offsetting the cost of cosmetic procedures. An example is ICBC coverage of scars and deformity resulting from a motor vehicle accident.
Our office offers a variety of options for payment and financing of cosmetic procedures. Payment options include personal cheque, debit card, Visa, and Mastercard.
We also offer financing via Credit Medical and MEDICARD. Insurance Accepted- Medicare
