Educational Background

Martin Tang, BSc, OD is an optometrist certified by the California State Board and the College of Optometrists of Ontario . Dr. Tang received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley . He has also trained at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, and the Beijing Medical University . Upon licensure, Dr. Tang served as a clinical instructor at the University of California Eye Centre and practiced with prominent ophthalmologists in San Francisco. After returning to Toronto he joined two ophthalmology practices, with a special interest in ocular diseases, post-operative care and pediatric eye care.

Payment Options

Ask us about OHIP coverage. Since 2004, OHIP no longer covers patients from 20 and 64 years years of age for routine eye care. Patients who are under 20 and over 65 years old continue to receive yearly eye examinations under OHIP (unchanged from before). Many patients will have coverage via third-party insurance or work. We will be happy to assist you to submit these claims if you are paying privately.
